Professor of History, Cornell University. Walter LaFeber graduated from Hanover College in 1955, received a master's degree from Stanford University in 1956 and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in 1959. He came to Cornell in 1963 and is currently the Marie Underhill Noll Professor of American History. He specializes in American foreign policy.
